Things You'll Need:
- one pre-baked Cherry Pie
- 1/4 cup Pecan wood smoking chips
Dazzle your guests with this dessert!
Start just a few coals (10-12) and move them to the side of your grill
so that when placing the pie on the grill, it will not be directly over
the heat. Soak your Pecan wood chips for about 20 minutes prior to use.
When coals are ready, add the Pecan wood chips on top of the coals and place
the pie on the grill. Smoke for about 10-15 minutes. It really takes the
smoke well, so be careful not to over smoke it. Best if served after pie
is cooled in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
We enjoyed this so much that we thought that our next experiment would
be smoking a Peach pie with Jack Daniel Oak Barrel smoking chips.
